We wanted a quintessential quirky and fun adventure in Tokyo, and were not disappointed in our night at Alcatraz ER bar. It's probably the only "prison" where the prison guards wear miniskirts and carry giant fruity boozy concoctions. Some advice: bring a friend fluent in Japanese, to help you make sense of the tongue-in-cheek izakaya menu. Also, make sure he's a close friend, because you'll quickly be handcuffed together as you enter the premises, made to look like a (tacky) prison hospital.
In the immortal words of President Nixon's head (Futurama), this is the moment we were training for all yesterday afternoon.
